Mirror Bar
スウェージング(回転冷間鍛造)という高度な技術を用いることで、円柱状のパーツを包み込むように柄を施している。これにより360度どこから見ても存在感を放つ製品に仕上がった。
Mirror bar is the most unique feature of THE WHITE SCREEN, achieved by high degree of technology, swaging, that gives the particular patterns on all around the surface of columnar material, such as temple or top bar, by its revolving forging, thus the complete frame acquired the sense of existence owing to 3D mirror effect pattern.
Titanium Nose Pad
肌に直接触れるノーズパッドにはチタンパッドを用いた。劣化が極めて少ないことに加え、プラスチックパッドには無い高い質感が生まれる。レーザーでブランドロゴを掘り込み、細部でもブランドの美意識を表現した。
THE WHITE SCREEN chose titanium nose pad, not only because it is allergy free and far from over time degradation, but believes it has the great feel of texture, performing laser etched brand logo, that achieved the high degree of aesthetic sense even at the tiny detail.
Counterweight
8ｍｍ生地やメタルテンプルを採用している為、フロントに荷重がかかりやすい。荷重を分散し、より良い掛け心地を実現するためテンプルエンドにカウンターウェイトを配した。これもスウェージングで製作され、円錐状の特徴的な形状となった。
The over load is applied mostly on the front frame, due to the adoption of heavy 8mm acetate material against light βtitanium temple, so THE WHITE SCREEN developed the original cone shaped counterweight at the end of temple by swaging method, thus the weight balance between the front and the end of the temple is even, so the comfortable fitting is to be achieved on the faces.
Record Rim Wire
通常、強度近視によるレンズ厚を目立ちにくくする為に使われる幅広のリム。「レコードリム」と呼ばれるこのリムには、その名の通り細い溝が掘られ、無骨さと繊細さが同居する、独特の雰囲気を生み出している。
Wide rim wire had been originally developed for the function that makes high minus prescription lens look thinner than its real thickness. THE WHITE SCREEN adopted unique wide rim wire with hair line grooves on the outer surface, introducing it as record rim wire inspired by its look, adding another impression on the frame design in rugged but exquisite way.
Cut Rim Wire
通常のリムはレンズの形に曲げるだけだが、カットリムはさらに外形の切削が可能な特殊リム。それによりリムの内形と外形に差が生まれ、通常リムにはできない「面」による表現を可能にしている。
Cut rim wire performs the characteristic design detail by cutting the outer form, beyond the fact the regular rim wire is just bent to hold the lens. THE WHITE SCREEN enjoys this old school method achieving fresh new look with polyhedral effect.
8mm Acetate Sheet
その厚みから、非常に強い印象を与える8ｍｍ生地。インパクトを最大限に発揮するためブリッジをフラットに、内側の削りも最小限に留め8ｍｍ生地の持つ立体感を存分に表現した。
The impact of 8mm acetate sheet is impressive simply because of its thickness. THE WHITE SCREEN applied 8mm sheet and the unique way that leaves the original thickness mostly in any part of the frame in order to manifest its bold impact of solidity.
Round Cutting
8mm生地の存在感を残しつつ、リムを半円状にまで徹底的に丸く仕上げることでセルフレームの新たな表情を引き出した。リムの丸みとフロントの平面を複雑にまとめ上げた造形は丁寧な手仕事の証。
THE WHITE SCREEN brought out the new phase of the plastic frame introducing round cutting on top of the front frame, performing the semicircular profile that expresses strong presence of 8mm acetate material. The front form that is configured intricately with the roundness on the top and flatness on the front, can only be achieved by artisan hand work with the tender care.
Television Cutting
かつてのブラウン管テレビのように、リムの内側を斜めに削る「テレビジョンカット」を採用。レンズがフロント前面からやや奥にセットされることで、品のある立体感を生み出している。
THE WHITE SCREEN introduced “TELEVISION CUTTING” that has the oblique cutting on the front frame resembling CRT television set, and it achieves 3D solidity thanks to the lens position that is set a little in the back than the normal one.
Edge Rim Wire
センタープレスが入ったような立体感のあるリム。メタルフレームにありがちな華奢な印象とは一線を画しながら、エッジの効いた主張しすぎない存在感を実現。
A three-dimensional rim with a center press shaped edge. While making a apparent distinction from the delicate impression that is often found in metal frames, it has edgy, yet quiet presence.
Titanium Inner Rim Wire
メタルフレームに同素材のインナーリムを組み合わせ、多彩な表情と高級感を醸し出す。メッキ色の異なるリムが連なり整然とした佇まいは、美しい仕上がりとなった。
Titanium frame is combined with the inner rim of the same material to create a variety of expressions and a luxurious feel. The orderly appearance of the rims with different plating colors is achieving a beautiful finish.
